Regulator Reinstalled

regulatorreinstalled.jpg

From the mangled hardware that I removed from the voltage regulator, it appears that the regulator should be isolated from ground. The thick brown wire, mostly eclipsed by the red one, is connected from the regulator ground to the generator housing ground. This avoids ground loops and uncertainty about voltage drop through the chassis. I had to make some new, insulated nylon standoffs for the regulator. And, yes, I know, I still need to attach that piece of foam near the rear-window defroster fitting. Originally, the foam air tube must have held it in place.
