Insulation In Place

I sanded and repainted the inside walls of the engine compartment, then lined its forward surface with acoustical insulation, the same material used on the top surface of the package shelf. This is the underside of the package shelf and the vertical wall behind the rear seats. I also installed the new foam insulation. The slit at the upper right side is for the lid hinge; if the lid doesn't hold that flap of insulation in place, I'll use a dab of glue. I still need to install the metal stays that prevent the insulation from flopping. You can see a bit of the acoustic insulation in places behind the foam insulation.
