You can see that the "dog teeth" on the synchro hub (the tiny ones) ore rounded. It's not as bad as I'd imagined, but according to a local expert, the hub should be replaced. You can also see a groove worn in the synchro ring, the metal part under the teeth. As it happened, the slider teeth were in decent shape. I have another slider that's nearly perfect, so I'll use it instead. So, I need a new ring, hub, and probably the $100 tool to replace it. Sheesh!
