At this point, all the sheet metal pieces except the rear panel have been installed. I also installed a new pulley and hub onto the generator; the previous one was a VW pulley, which was not correct for this car. It was larger in diameter than the correct one, so the fan and generator turned more slowly than they should. I didn't notice any cooling problems, but the generator indicator lamp didn't turn off until the engine was close to 2000 RPM.
