Its maiden voyage was 27 March, 2012. It did well. The new first-gear synchro is a little stiff; I was warned that it might be, and that it would need to break in a bit. When I came home, I readjusted the clutch a little and retweaked the carbs. The annoying spitting through the carbs, which previously was frequent, is now almost entirely gone. The engine noise is now somewhat reduced, probably more because of the elimination of exhaust leaks than the sound insulation. When I redo the carpets, though, I'll add more sound insulation, and maybe that will reduce it further.
