The gear assembly has been removed in preparation for disassembly. I wanted to inspect all the parts and make sure the best synchro parts were on the lower gears, which get the most use. The black item in the lower right part of the picture is the special tool used to remove synchro dog-tooth rings from their respective gears. More on that later.
