This is a close-up of the assembled gear and synchro. This and the next three pictures were taken before I started interchanging synchro parts. The synchro band on this gear is starting to show a slight wear line under the teeth. The wear is very minor, so the band is still usable; even so, I eventually switched it to fifth gear, where it is less severely stressed.
