The backup switch connector is installed; heat-shrink tubing now covers the splices, which are soldered. I also replaced the starter-solenoid spade connector; it is soldered now, instead of a crimp connection. I used heat-shrink tubing here, too. (The two ring terminals are the high-current line to the starter and the dc line from the starter B+ to the voltage regulator.)
