Heater Control Box Restored
This is probably the hardest piece of ductwork to restore. Removing all the paint is a real pain. I used a chemical paint remover to take off the old coating, but it still had to be scraped, and access to all the nooks and crannies is difficult. Also, for some reason, in places the paint did not have its expected glossy appearance. You can see the problem in this picture on the left side of the unit. I had to wait for the paint to cure, sand it lightly, and spray another coat. Once it's dry, I'll reinstall the control levers and spring. (I used high-temperature brake caliper paint for this piece, the heat exchangers, and the valve covers. I used a better-looking paint for the other parts.)
